India's 2027 Census (Census 2027) has commenced today; it is the country's 16th census overall and the 8th since independence. For the first time, the entire process is being conducted digitally.
The census will be completed in two phases:
- House Listing and Housing Census (April–September 2026)
- Collection of data regarding houses, amenities, and assets.
Population Enumeration (February 2027) - Collection of data concerning population, education, economic status, migration, birth rates, and caste.
ভারতের ২০২৭ সালের জনগণনা (Census 2027) আজ থেকে শুরু হয়েছে, যা দেশের ১৬তম এবং স্বাধীনতার পর ৮ম জনগণনা। এবার প্রথমবারের মতো পুরো প্রক্রিয়াটি ডিজিটাল পদ্ধতিতে করা হচ্ছে।
জনগণনা দুই ধাপে সম্পন্ন হবে:
- হাউস লিস্টিং ও হাউজিং সেন্সাস (এপ্রিল–সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৬)
- বাড়ি, সুযোগ-সুবিধা ও সম্পদের তথ্য সংগ্রহ
জনগণনা (ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৭) - জনসংখ্যা, শিক্ষা, অর্থনীতি, অভিবাসন, জন্মহার ও জাতি (caste) সংক্রান্ত তথ্য সংগ্রহ।
