Krishna Kumar Singh, Director (Personnel) at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), has taken additional charge as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the company from April 2, 2026.
This move comes after the resignation of former CMD Amarendu Prakash, with the government assigning Singh the interim role for up to three months or until a regular appointment is made, whichever is earlier.
স্টিল অথরিটি অফ ইন্ডিয়া লিমিটেড (SAIL)-এর পরিচালক (কর্মী) কৃষ্ণ কুমার সিং, ২০২৬ সালের ২ এপ্রিল থেকে কোম্পানিটির চেয়ারম্যান ও ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক (CMD) হিসেবে অতিরিক্ত দায়িত্ব গ্রহণ করেছেন।
প্রাক্তন CMD অমরেন্দু প্রকাশের পদত্যাগের পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে এই পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে; সরকার সিং-কে সর্বোচ্চ তিন মাসের জন্য—অথবা কোনো নিয়মিত নিয়োগ সম্পন্ন না হওয়া পর্যন্ত—এই অন্তর্বর্তীকালীন দায়িত্ব অর্পণ করেছে, যার মেয়াদটি আগে শেষ হবে, সেই সময়সীমাটিই এক্ষেত্রে প্রযোজ্য হবে।
