ভারত ৫ এপ্রিল, ২০২৬ তারিখে ৬৩তম জাতীয় সামুদ্রিক দিবস উদযাপন করেছে। এই দিবসটি ১৯১৯ সালে মুম্বাই থেকে লন্ডনে ভারতের নিজস্ব মালিকানাধীন প্রথম জাহাজ—'এসএস লয়্যালটি' (SS Loyalty)-এর ঐতিহাসিক সমুদ্রযাত্রাকে সম্মান জানায়। এবারের থিম ছিল: "সামুদ্রিক ভারত – অগ্রগতির ক্ষমতায়ন"। ৩০ মার্চ রাষ্ট্রপতি মুর্মু এবং প্রধানমন্ত্রী মোদীর উপস্থিতিতে এই দিবসের কার্যক্রম শুরু হয়। ভারতের মোট বাণিজ্যের ৯৫ শতাংশই সামুদ্রিক খাতের মাধ্যমে সম্পন্ন হয়।
