Uttar Pradesh’s Divya Singh, a 28‑year‑old teacher from Gorakhpur, has become the first Indian woman to cycle to Mount Everest Base Camp.

She rode from Kathmandu to EBC over 14 days, covering about 17,560 feet of altitude while facing freezing weather, low oxygen, and rough mountain trails.

Singh cycled up to 10–12 hours daily and even carried her bicycle on steep or impassable stretches, completing a feat that has drawn nationwide praise online.
