Scientists at India's Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research have developed a new "brain-like" sensor, inspired by frogs, that can significantly reduce the power consumption of electronic devices.

This sensor is based on "neuromorphic" technology, which—much like the human brain—can simultaneously sense, store, and process information. It responds to changes in humidity—just as certain frogs are able to perceive environmental moisture.
