The Government of India has announced that the country set a new record in solar energy generation during the 2025–26 fiscal year. During this period, approximately 45 gigawatts (GW) of new solar power capacity was added—the highest figure recorded to date.
In March 2026 alone, 6.65 GW of solar capacity was added, marking the highest monthly addition on record. Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra played a leading role in this expansion.

২০২৬ সালের মার্চ মাসেই ৬.৬৫ গিগাওয়াট সৌর ক্ষমতা যোগ হয়েছে, যা এক মাসে সর্বাধিক। এই বৃদ্ধিতে রাজস্থান, গুজরাট এবং মহারাষ্ট্র প্রধান ভূমিকা নিয়েছে।
