S. R. Ramaswamy, former President of the Rashtrotthana Parishat, passed away in Bengaluru, Karnataka, on April 10, 2026, at the age of 88. Ramaswamy was proficient in multiple languages—including Kannada, Sanskrit, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. He was a close associate of the distinguished journalist D. V. Gundappa.
He was honored with the Nadoja Award and made significant contributions to the fields of literature and social service.
