India has launched its first-ever open-sea marine fish farming project in the Andaman Sea. The Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Jitendra Singh, inaugurated this pilot project near North Bay, Sri Vijayapuram. He described it as a significant milestone in India's 'Blue Economy' journey.
