On April 18, on the occasion of World Heritage Day, India renewed its emphasis on preserving its cultural and natural heritage. This year's theme highlighted the importance of safeguarding heritage sites at risk due to disasters and conflicts.
UNESCO's World Heritage List currently comprises 1,223 sites, 43 of which are located in India. In 2024, the "Moidams" of Assam were added to this list.
ভারত ১৮ এপ্রিল World Heritage Day উপলক্ষে তার সাংস্কৃতিক ও প্রাকৃতিক ঐতিহ্য সংরক্ষণে নতুন করে জোর দিয়েছে। এবারের থিম ছিল দুর্যোগ ও সংঘাতের কারণে ঝুঁকিতে থাকা ঐতিহ্য রক্ষার গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরা।
UNESCO-র বিশ্ব ঐতিহ্য তালিকায় বর্তমানে ১,২২৩টি স্থান রয়েছে, যার মধ্যে ভারতের ৪৩টি স্থান অন্তর্ভুক্ত। ২০২৪ সালে অসমের “Moidams” এই তালিকায় যুক্ত হয়েছে।
