Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the sixth edition of the Khelo India Winter Games. He remarked that this competition, hosted in Gulmarg, has evolved from being merely a sporting event into a celebration of national unity and harmony.
Approximately 1,000 athletes and officials are participating in this year's competition across various disciplines, including Alpine Skiing, Nordic Skiing, Snowboarding, and Ski Mountaineering. This four-day event will conclude on February 26 with a closing ceremony.
Khelo India Winter Games-এর ষষ্ঠ সংস্করণের উদ্বোধন করেছেন জম্মু ও কাশ্মীরের লেফটেন্যান্ট গভর্নর Manoj Sinha। গুলমার্গে আয়োজিত এই প্রতিযোগিতা এখন শুধু একটি ক্রীড়া ইভেন্ট নয়, বরং জাতীয় ঐক্য ও সম্প্রীতির উৎসবে পরিণত হয়েছে বলে তিনি মন্তব্য করেন।
এবারের প্রতিযোগিতায় অ্যালপাইন স্কিইং, নর্ডিক স্কিইং, স্নোবোর্ডিং ও স্কি মাউন্টেনিয়ারিং-সহ বিভিন্ন বিভাগে প্রায় ১,০০০ জন খেলোয়াড় ও কর্মকর্তা অংশ নিচ্ছেন। চারদিনব্যাপী এই প্রতিযোগিতা ২৬ ফেব্রুয়ারি সমাপনী অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে শেষ হবে।
