Ashwini Bhide has been appointed as the new Municipal Commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in Mumbai. She is the first woman to hold this position—a historic milestone. A 1995-batch IAS officer, she previously served as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Chief Minister's Office.
